Fairview Lodge

The historic Fairview Lodge is open to the public to rent. The lodge offers a capacity of up to 80 people, a full kitchen – including a range/oven, microwave, refrigerator, and sinks, a dining room complete with tables and chairs, and a back deck area with double doors for additional seating and entertaining.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The city does NOT offer refunds on reservations!  It is best to be sure of your dates before reserving them. 
  • There are 11 round tables (60” in diameter) that seat 6-8 people with at least 100 chairs and 2 long tables (30” wide x 8ft long).
  • There are 2 televisions which include a VGA and HDMI for projecting laptops or other electronic media.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available. 
  • Great room is 29.5ft x 39ft. Deck is 18ft x 24 ft. Doorway opening is 4ft 7inches. Front entrance door is 3ft wide.

Bertha Bartlett Public Library

Established in April, 1922, by the GCC and Newera Club, the library in Story City had humble beginnings with one room in the First Mortgage Investment Building from 1922 to 1927 and held an inventory of 430 books. Today, the library is thriving like never before, with an expansion to a new building and upgraded inventory!

River Bend Golf Course

The golf course opened in 1971 to serve the town of Story City and neighboring communities. The staff at RBGC strive to provide excellent service at an exceptional value.

The course offers a player-friendly layout and challenges better players with trees and water in play on almost every hole. The clubhouse, built in 2010, offers a warm comfortable environment to relax with friends and is a great complement to the golf course.
